What we did.

The Brief

Richard is a well-known award winning figure in the travel industry with years of experience. He approached us to build the brand identity and website for his latest venture, Travel Collective. His vision was to move beyond the transactional "9-5" style of booking and create deep, personal relationships with clients. With plans to open an interactive retail space in Hamilton, he needed a brand that reflected his expertise while remaining accessible.

The Challenge

The primary hurdle was positioning. As a full-service agency, Travel Collective doesn't specialise in just one niche; they handle everything from corporate travel and simple flight bookings to bespoke luxury itineraries.

  • The Goal: Create a brand that appeals to a broad demographic without looking generic.
  • The Vibe: We needed to balance "approachable and welcoming" with a "sleek and professional" aesthetic that would stand out against the competition.

The Brand Identity

We positioned the company as an authority, using bold but human statements that speak directly to the audience. To create visual cohesion, we deconstructed the new logo into geometric shapes. These act as flexible brand assets, framing imagery across the website, print graphics, and physical shop decals to tie the online and offline experiences together.

The Website

The digital experience focuses on inspiration. We built a platform that allows users to explore a broad range of destinations and travel styles.

  • User Experience: We utilised subtle scroll animations as "delighters" to add polish and value to the user journey.
  • Functionality: We implemented advanced custom functionality, ensuring the site is easy for Richard’s team to manage. Each agent has their own profile, highlighting the human element behind the brand.

The Outcome

Since launching, the brand has received excellent feedback. The new identity perfectly positions Travel Collective as a future "go-to" hub for travel in New Zealand.

One lightning strike later and our old website was reduced to a pile of outdated pixels. The new site is powerful, fast, and impossible to ignore.
