What we did.

It’s one thing to design a logo,  it’s another to build a brand that actually scales, is useable and is memorable.

I recently wrapped up one of the most comprehensive and fun brand projects I’ve tackled...re-branding Ducks2Water over the in UK.

With over 20 customer touchpoints—from social media and merch to certificates and badges, tone of voice and refreshed guidelines —this was a complete top-to-bottom transformation for James and his growing ambitions.

The Strategy behind the Mascot.

From the off James wanted a brand mascot and Initially, was set on having the character, "Noodle," locked into the logo. Through some discussions, I was able to show how much more value Noodle brought as a standalone brand asset. By allowing the mascot to live outside the logo, we’ve given the brand room to breathe while using Noodle to drive engagement and personality across the user journey.

My favourite part? I was able to subtly tie the logo’s illustration back to Noodle’s character, creating brand consistency and a bit more fun.

The Collaboration.

A massive thank you to Harry Slinger-Thompson. He took my "average" duck concept and breathed real movement, character, and depth into it. If you need an illustrator or animator who truly gets it, Harry is your guy.

The Result.

Comparing the old brand to the new, the shift is night and day. It’s more professional and reputable, yet more fun and engaging. It’s grown-up, without losing its soul.

I’m incredibly proud of where we landed and loved working on this.  James, was an amazing client - even getting up at 5am for the odd meeting.

What they said about our work...

I have to say I am very rarely blown away but from the initial meeting with Alex to the end product I could not be any happier. Alex is a true professional; his communication, flexibility and execution has been 5 stars. For anyone who has tried to rebrand will understand it can be a very difficult process. Alex made the whole thing achievable and exciting. I would highly recommend his services.
